Prague Castle is the largest historical castle complex in the world. Established as the residence of the Czech king, its history already started more than one thousand years ago!
The castle is nowadays the seat of the Czech president. However, the Saint Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and the Golden Lane are open for the public. In the summertime you can enjoy a walk in the gardens.
This route goes through the historical city centre: from the Powder Tower through the Old Town with a stop by the Astronomical clock, over the Charles Bridge and through the Lesser Town up to the gate of Prague Castle.
